A fascinating guided walk bringing to life Alfred Wallis’s St Ives from 1882 to 1942, when he and his family lived there.
Drawing on the research for her in-depth biography of Alfred Wallis, author Matilda Webb will show you the places where Wallis and his family lived and worked, as well as views and subjects that inspired some of Wallis’s paintings. You will visit the iconic grave where Wallis was buried in 1942, and end the walk in the historic Fishermen’s Lodge on the Wharf, used for generations by Wallis’s descendants.
Each walk begins at the far end of West Pier (the end out at sea) and lasts about 1 and a half hours.
