Train

We recommend travelling by train. Great Western Railway run regular direct trains from London Paddington to St Erth which take around 6 hours. You can also travel overnight using the Night Riviera sleeper service. If travelling from the North or Midlands services are operated by Cross Country trains. From St Erth take the St Ives branch line.

Plane

Newquay Airport, approximately 45 minutes drive from St Ives, can be reached on direct flights from various airports in the UK and mainland Europe. Exeter airport is two hours drive from St Ives and Bristol Airport is three hours away.

Car

Parking in St Ives is limited, we recommend using the Park & Ride facilities at St Erth for a stress free visit.

Leave the M5 motorway south of Junction 31 at Exeter and join the A30. The journey to St Ives will take approximately two hours. Continue on the A30 bypassing Hayle, take the second exit at the next roundabout and follow the signposts.

Park & Ride

Parking in St Ives is limited, we recommend you use the Park & Ride facilities at St Erth Train Station where there is ample parking. The St Ives Branch Line is one of the most beautiful coastal routes in the country and a great way to arrive.

There is a taxi rank between the Western Hotel and Royal Cinema and there are a number of local taxi companies you can contact direct including A1 Cars, Chard Cars, Harbour Cars, JM cars.
