The loyal band of musicians and poets from near and far will return to Norway Square – elsewhere if wet – every lunchtime during this year’s September Festival.
St Ives performance poet and arts scene icon Bob Devereux –the last of the “originals” who founded the Festival back in 1977 and still actively involved – has been the figurehead of the sessions ever since. They have become a tradition in Norway Square, the beating heart of the September Festival, where the “regulars” extend a warm welcome to visiting poets and musicians wishing to perform. Just turn up and make yourself known to the organisers to secure a slot.
Every day of the festival 12.30-2pm. Admission is free for spectators and seating is available but the sessions have become even more popular over recent years with standing room only in the Square on a number of days.
