Susan Fowler Fine Art Gallery

Susan is a leading UK contemporary pressed flower and mixed media artist. Her work has a unique style with depth and movement which has become a favourite of art collectors in the UK and worldwide. Her artistic journey has been an unusual one. Susan trained as a lawyer. She contracted meningitis which left her with head injury after effects, including epilepsy, for many years Susan says the experience was the catalyst for her artwork.

She selects flora from her Cornish garden and windswept local seaweed which she presses and preserves. These are then laid on silks and satins with light catching mixed media including treasures of vintage threads, jewellery, glass, fishing line and shells sourced from Cornish fishermen.

Her work has appeared in ‘TATLER’ Magazine, ‘World of Interiors’, ‘London Life Magazines’ and ‘House & Garden Magazine’. Her work has been exhibited in London and Cornwall.
