Polly and Adrian discuss Adrian’s latest works in a series which explores subject matter that is intrinsically connected to the materials used. Using charcoal made of wood from Talland House garden and sea water from Porthmister Beach, Adrian is making sketches of Godrevy Lighthouse, which was made famous by Virginia Woolfs legendary modernist novel To The Lighthouse. Talland house, Woolf’s childhood summer home and where the novel was set, is currently under threat by development, bringing further significance to this work. There will be an opportunity to preview some of the new work and hear about what’s happening at Talland House.
