St Ives family-run, Belgian-inspired beer house and restaurant, the Bier Huis Grand Cafe became a St Ives September Festival music venue in 2023.

Sunday September 15 (2-4pm) SPAVEN MOR

Original songs, established favourites, folk, shanties and more from Claire Young and Kevin Sutcliffe.
Regulars on the St Ives music scene for many years, Claire and Kevin have joined forces to bring their rich vocal harmonies to classic songs by artists as diverse as The Eagles, Green Day, Neil Young ,Carole King and Foo Fighters among others!



Sunday September 22 (2-4pm) LORE AND LAMENT

Over many years of performing as individuals, Holly Anne Coles and Mitch Cartwright have combined their musical passion for folk music to form Lore and Lament. Honouring the rich music traditions of the Celtic nations, they perform upbeat folk songs and acoustic music from Cornwall, England, Ireland and Scotland



Monday September 23 (7-9pm) CRIMSON TIDE

Rock, folk, covers and more with St Ives duo Mandy and Nick. Songs from Kate Bush, The Mama’s and Papa’s, Bob Marley, Fleetwood Mac and others from vocalists Mandy on flute and Nick on guitar.




Tuesday September 24 (7-9pm) HOKUM BOYS

Blues at its best with evocative vocalist Malcolm, master guitarist Hugo and the brilliant Tom on percussion





Wednesday September 25 (7-9pm) NICOLE TESSEYMAN

St Ives singer-songwriter Nicole’s career has kicked on rapidly since she launched as a solo performer at the 2022 September Festival and she released her debut CD Oll An Gwella earlier this year.
Country, folk, sea shanties along with “Cornish Lark” Nicole’s original material in her inimitable Cornish style.



Thursday September 26 (7-9pm) CARLY AND SVEN

St Ives favourite Carly McKean’s vocals are second to none. She has been singing and performing throughout Corwall with a number of bands for more than 13 years .
Sven produces his own music as well as accompanying Carly with piccolo bass, loop pedal and effects.
Carly and Sven met whilst performing in a band called ‘Gravity’ who sold out the Minack theatre for their debut performance – and promptly disbanded! Carly has endured much longer enduring success with The Alternatives and others.


Friday September 27 (7-9pm) MR G

Mr G plays an acoustic set of blues, rock and Americana with popular songs from the 50a, 60s and beyond.





Saturday September 28 (7-9pm) MR T

Rock and blues, high energy and classic songs from Penzance-based Tijrone Rosewall, long-time front man of the band Sinpusher.
