Fresh from last month’s Festival Interceltique de Lorient where they performed to over 35,000 people and enjoyed a France TV audience of over 2 million we’re proud to be hosting the Celtic Male Ensemble’s first concert back on home turf.
The Ensemble were formed in 2014 by their musical director Alastair Taylor to perform the winning entry at the Cornwall International Male Choral Festival composer’s competition. Since then the choir have performed all over the County including the Minack theatre at Porthcurno and several appearances at Truro cathedral including one appearance where they sang with internationally renowned tenor John Trelevan.
Most recently the Celtic Male Ensemble were crowned the Festival Champion Choir at the Cornwall International Male Choral Festival held at Truro Cathedral in May as well as winning the award for the Best Sung Single Piece of Music.
We’re delighted to welcome the boys back for their third consecutive appearance at the Festival so grab your tickets now for what is likely to be another sell-out performance.
