Disappearing Traces is a reflective journaling workshop held in St Ives this September, developed alongside my artist residency with the town’s museum. Rooted in my doctoral research, the session invites participants to explore the fragile histories held within the museum’s stitched sampler collection. Together, we will work through gentle, accessible techniques including printing and image transfer, using these processes to respond to the lives of the young girls who made the samplers and the teachers who guided them. The workshop offers a quiet space for making, where personal reflection and archival narratives meet, allowing new traces to emerge through collective, thoughtful practice. A kit and materials are included in the workshop price.
