Choirs of St Mary’s Launceston and St Ia combine to lead the popular Inaugural Solemn Choral Evensong in this serene 15th century church. Please ring a cushion.

A Grand Tour of Europe in Music
Tenor: Farran Roland, Pianoforte: Peter Luing. An evening of music emulating the Grand Tour through European classical vocal music; to include works by Verdi and Mozart. Tenor Farran Roland is currently studying opera singing in Milan. Accompanied by Peter Luing, MD at St Ia, this is an evening not to be missed. Please bring a cushion.

Saxy Maids
We are delighted to return to the Festival this year. We are a female saxophone quartet and we play music in all styles and for any occasion. We have recently enjoyed parading through the streets for a wedding procession from this church to the reception venue. Please bring a cushion.

Corineus Quartet
Based in Penzance, Corineus String Quartet performs regularly throughout Cornwall. Our repertoire focuses on works by all the major 19th and 20th century composers as well as works commissioned by us. Highlights include: Schubert cycle of his later quartets, Shostakovich quartets, Schoenberg Verklarte Nacht. Please bring a cushion.

Gilli Posnansky and Mark Tanner: Flute and Piano
The International Poznansky Tanner Trio has performed in concerts and on cruise ships around the world with a delectable range of classical showstoppers. With Gillian Poznansky, flute, Sebastian Poznansky, cello and Mark Tanner, piano, this programme of chamber music comprises works by Haydn, Weber and Tanner. Please bring a cushion.

Cornish Roots Big Band
We are delighted to return again after our brilliant session last year and we know that this year’s concert will be even bigger, better and louder than last year, so book your tickets early. Our repertoire ranges from Big Band classics to contemporary arrangements. Please bring a cushion.

Celtic Fiddlers
Come in, take the weight off your feet and we will put a smile on your face! Celtic Fiddlers was founded to provide an opportunity for string players of all ages and levels of experience to enjoy ensemble playing. We play traditional Celtic music arranged for all abilities. Please bring a cushion.

The Bechstein Trio (Pamela Rosenfeld: violin, Ruth Best: piano and Sally Pearson: cello ) will be performing two great works from the piano trio repertoire: Mendelssohn – Piano Trio No 1, Op 49, and Beethoven – ‘Archduke’ Trio, Op 97. Please bring a cushion.

Spyralz: Jazz Fusion Quartet
We’re a group of incredibly talented performers who live and breathe Jazz Fusion and it is great to be asked back to St. Ia’s. We perform a highly energetic and eclectic mixture by the Brecker Brothers, Yellowjackets and our own compositions. A concert not to be missed! Please bring a cushion.

Phoenix Singers and Gwel Trencrom Singers
Two local mixed choirs for the price of one! Phoenix is St. Ives’ own local choir and they rehearse in the Arts Club led by Myran. GTS is a Conservatory choir; they rehearse in Peter Luing’s conservatory in Hayle. Please bring a cushion. Phoenix:; GTS:

Culdrose Military Wives’ Choir
This 55-strong choir is based at RNAS Culdrose, Helston. It is part of the international Military Wives’ Foundation started by Gareth Malone. Peter Luing has been our Musical Director for the last two years. Please bring a cushion.

Friday 21st September 8pm £7.50
Nighthawks is a 19-piece big band specialising in the classic swing and Latin music of the 1930s to 1950s. The line-up includes male and female vocalists. You can be sure of hearing vocal classics made famous by singers such as Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. Please bring a cushion.

City of Truro Male Choir
Last year we celebrated 75 years of continuous singing during which we have had numerous musical festival successes in and out of the county.
