Anima-Mundi curates a diverse programme of exhibitions by some of the world’s most exciting contemporary artists. The London Group – The St Ives Connection
The London Group, formed 1913, is one of the longest established artists’ collectives. Several artists associated with St Ives were members e.g. Terry Frost, Barbara Hepworth, William Scott. Hilary first started visiting the Leach Pottery in 2012 and has undertaken around 80 historical surveys that will soon feature in an illustrated book.

Roelof Uys: Works of Function, Works Of Art
Roelof Uys is the Leach Pottery’s Lead Potter. This is Roelof’s first solo exhibition since joining the Pottery 5 years ago. An exclusive body of work comprising 200 new pots, it features functional domestic wares like mugs, teapots and sake cups, as well as larger decorative jars, chargers, and vases.

Celebrating 10 Years

Drop in and be part of our pop-up archive in our new studio at Penwith Gallery in collaboration with St Ives Archive. Delve into the fascinating history of the St Ives School of Painting and the town of St Ives over the past 80 years. Help us create a timeline animation and explore the research that captures the life of St Ives in 1938.

St Ives in Stitches Project
This is a textile mapping project of all the buildings, as they are today, from the Lifeboat Station, along Wharf Road and ending at the lighthouse on Smeaton’s Pier. Each panel has been created by individual members taking part in this project and represents their view of the building they have chosen. There are also photos from St Ives Archive showing what the buildings used to be.

Member’s Exhibition
Founded in 1890, The Arts Club is the oldest established society for artists in St Ives with 180 + members. Our gallery is available for members to show their work. We are delighted to host a Festival ‘open’ event for all members to display their different styles of art and craft.

With a viewpoint that if we left behind traces of our experience of being in or passing through a space – currently Coastal Cornwall, then my paintings are a visualisation of how that might appear.
