St John's in the fields

St John’s in the Fields, St Ives, TR26 2HG
The Church is a Piers St Aubyn designed Victorian building constructed on the outskirts of St Ives to service a growing population. It sits on an elevated site with an iconic tower not typical of the County. A long tarmac drive accesses the Church with nicely laid out grassed lawns and mature trees. There is parking to the rear (north east) and a single storey hall with associated facilities.

The Funny Thing About Laughter 7.30pm, drinks 7pm CANCELLED
A joyous fun playful show that celebrates, explores and enables laughter! Comedian and amateur gelotologist Ian Macdonald shares his adventures and mishaps in the world of stand-up comedy, and the surprising, liberating discovery he made about laughter along the way.
Ian Macdonald is a huge fan of laughter, pursuing this mainly as a stand-up comedian, but he also runs laughter workshops, teaches comedy, and regularly speaks on well-being and laughter. He has been performing since he made 400 vicars laugh (at the same time!) and realised that
stand-up comedy was the mid-life crisis he was searching for. Delivering his own brand of cheerful incredulity, he has been described as ‘warm, ull of heart’ and ‘very very funny.’ An evening celebrating laughter, and how we all might find a little more of it in our lives. Tickets
