St Ives Orchard group works towards creating a sustainable, species-rich ecosystem of edible, native and useful plants, encouraging biodiversity and safe spaces for wildlife. Bringing people together with workshops, walks, talks and events.

Sensory Nature print workshop with Annabel Wilkes and Imogen Frost
Join us for a mindful multi sensory walk through St Ives Community Orchard and create colourful naturally inked prints. We’ll be exploring the colours and textures of Autumn inviting you to look, smell, touch and taste to fully immerse yourself in nature and the season.

After walking, exploring and foraging for materials you’ll create your own print using naturally made inks from beetroot, spinach, turmeric and organic inks. We have an event tent if it rains! Do feel free to bring a blanket and some snacks with you. Gloves will be provided and all materials are included in the price. All age groups and dogs welcome too! We look forward to creating with you. The workshop will be taken by local artists Imogen Frost and Annabel Wilkes. £20 per adult, £5 per child (11 years and under). Nature Walk at St Ives Community Orchard and Penbeagle Hill

Join us on Nature Walk with Noah Hall. Noah is a keen naturalist & qualified conservationist and takes you on a walk starting in the orchard to identify trees, plants, insects and birds. Magnifying lenses are provided for all participants to better study the intricate beauty of plants & insects . This is part of an ongoing project to record species and learn to identify plants and wildlife in this area. 15 spaces. £6 per person Tickets

Forest Gardening Workshop with Sid Hill 
In this workshop we will walk the land exploring Edible Forest Gardening in practice, methods to create new edible ecosystems and tools and techniques to tend the “wild”. £12 each, max 20 people Tickets

The layers and leaves of the Forest Garden -an introduction to botanical art
This is an exploratory art-based workshop. Artist Dominica Williamson will introduce you to the basic principles of botanical art whilst in the Forest Garden and Orchard. As a group you will explore the layers of the forest garden: the different habitats, different uses and shapes in a fun way. Leaves and seeds will be collected and studied under microscopes and drawings will become vertically exhibited amongst the apple trees in the orchard. Open to all, including families with children. Please be prepared to help your children with the books, microscopes and paints provided. (2 1/2-3 hours, with tea and biscuit break). £20 per adult, £5 per child (11 years and under). This course covers selection and preparation of willow, techniques to bend, twist and fix the willow. You will find out how to make several simple willow decorations for the garden and home. £20 per person.
