Create beautiful and unique candles, by casting wax into sand moulds, then decorate with shells, sea glass or pebbles. Learn about wax types, working methods, wicks and how to colour and fragrance with essential oils. Working within the traditions established by Blake and Degas, you will explore opportunities to expand ideas through colour and markmaking using simple printmaking techniques without a press. Using water-soluble inks, oil pastels and pigment, we will make about 5 prints each, exploring transfer monotype, monotype and stencils, and developing them into ‘painterly prints’. Max 10.
