The 2021 St Ives September Festival – our 15-day extravaganza of music and arts – returns from September 11 to 25 this year following last year’s unavoidable cancellation.
Difficulties have had to be overcome to get our show back on the road and the 2021 Festival has been organised in a much shorter timescale and with a smaller team but we made it!
Once again we have an extensive programme of music, theatre, films, poetry, Open Studios, exhibitions, workshops, walks, talks and so much more.
NEW THIS YEAR: A programme of children’s literature events with guest authors appearing . . . . and the Circus is coming to town.
THE FESTIVAL PROGRAMME IS AVAILABLE NOW!
The Programme for the 2021 St Ives September Festival is a pull-out supplement with the St Ives Times and Echo. Complimentary copies are also available at a number of places in town including the St Ives Information Centre at The Libary, St Ives Arts Club and the Society of Artists’ Mariners Gallery, plus many more.
You can also read the full colour version of the printed programme by clicking HERE
Tickets for evening events can be booked online by clicking on the links on this website – or at Cornwall tourist information centres – until 2pm on the day.
Tickets remaining will be available on the door from 7pm each evening with payment by credit card as well as cash at The Guildhall, St Ives Arts Club and St Ia Church.
STAYING SAFE: All our main venues are operating at around 75 per cent of their maximum audience capacity this year so there will be more space for people to socially distance. Please continue to follow the guidelines, stay safe and enjoy the 2021 St Ives September Festival.
Please follow us on St Ives September Festival Facebook for all the latest Festival news.

A message from Cllr Kirsty Arthur, Mayor of St Ives:
I am so delighted to welcome the September Festival back to St Ives this year!
The Festival is a long-running event for the town attracting many people from all over the world.
Unlike other “tourist towns” in the UK, St Ives has a unique and historic link with arts and culture and the September Festival is a fantastic coming together of all aspects of both.
Whether you are interested in spoken word, live music, poetry, art, history . . . the September Festival has it all within the most beautiful setting, St Ives town!
I wish the greatest of luck to all the performers and guests for a successful and entertaining festival, and best wishes to all visitors and spectators coming along to watch, listen and take part. I must also take this opportunity to thank the volunteers and organisers of the September Festival, I hope that you all have a wonderful experience.
2020 saw the whole world impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic. Industries struggled, especially the Arts industry. Now is the time to support and promote them as best we can.
A message from our Arts Patron:
The Leach Pottery is honoured to support the St Ives September Festival as their Arts Patron for 2021. Since our foundation in 1920, we have supported the creative arts in St Ives. It is especially fitting that we can renew our historic connections and come together once again to champion our shared values of artistic collaboration and exchange.
We invite everyone to join in with our Leach 100+1 celebrations and visit us during what is set to be a fantastic festival.
