Life Drawing £15
Choose a morning or afternoon session drawing from the nude model, guided by one of our specialist tutors. Poses are long to give you time to study the figure in detail. Beginners welcome.

3D Postcard of St Ives £70
Create a three dimensional landscape painting inspired by postcards of St Ives. Look at the paintings and sculptures of St Ives artist Peter Lanyon as inspiration and transform a 2D image of a St Ives landscape into a wall based relief sculpture. With Amanda Lorens.

Delve into the abstracted forms of Barbara Hepworth and study her approach to creating forms inspired by nature then develop your own response using drawing, simple printmaking and collage. With Liz Luckwell.

Explore the abstract ideas and techniques of the St Ives Modernists. Using a mixed media approach, combine acrylics, collage and drawing in this one day workshop. Explore some of the approaches of artists such as Ben Nicholson and Peter Lanyon and learn about the theories and challenges of going abstract. With Greg Humphries.

Sketch and Stroll £25
Join one of our artists as they take you on an inspiring journey around St Ives and gain tips on drawing techniques as you record your journey in a sketchbook.  Price includes a souvenir sketchbook to keep and use of materials.

Painting Plein Air £35
Paint en plein air on the cliffs and beaches, exploring the mood and elemental energy of place. You will work in acrylic paint outside, developing the painting back in the studio with brushes, knives and other tools to develop mark making and create a free and intuitive response to landscape. Drawing the nude is a classic, traditional skill and in these sessions experienced artist Steve Dove teaches you to capture the essence of the figure, working with short poses. Beginners welcome. Book in advance or arrive 10 mins early.

This is an opportunity to be introduced to painting with oils including tips on laying out a palette, mixing colour and techniques on keeping it simple. Explore the landscape around you by using all your senses, observing both the micro landscape of rock pools as well as the impressive coastline vistas.
