What does the Festival do for St Ives?
The Festival is an important event in the life of St Ives attracting, just outside the peak holiday period, many visitors to the town from the UK and abroad. It is also a catalyst for the local community to get involved with something that they can feel intensely proud of, especially as all the people who help are unpaid volunteers. However the support of the local business community is an important part of the Festival ‘jigsaw’ and it is with this in mind that we are once again asking for your help to ensure the long term success and viability of our well established Festival. Putting together such a comprehensive programme of events over a fifteen day period is a huge task. The Festival has a dedicated and hard working team who have given their time freely throughout the year with the aim of creating another successful Festival in our beautiful town.
How can you help?
The St Ives September Festival offers an opportunity for collaboration between business interests and the cultural resources of the local community through sponsorship.
St Ives has a resident population of 10,000 but a daily tourist intake of 50,000 per day during the summer months. St Ives September Festival is an important cultural event in the annual calendar, bringing a large number of tourists to the area after the school holiday season has ended. Sponsorship enables the Festival to present first class events and an extensive publicity programme – leaflets, posters, local and specialist press advertising, mailouts and the website, as well as the stunning banners that brighten up the harbour front. It also benefits the local community by bringing events not normally presented in the area.
If you are interested in becoming a sponsor and would like further information please contact us and we will arrange for one of our volunteers to visit you.
